The Carolina Basketball Museum, Self-Guided Tour

In 2009 UNC will celebrate 100 years of Carolina basketball that includes 1,984 wins in 99 seasons, 102 wins in NCAA tournament play, 17 ACC Tournament championships and five NCAA tournament titles. Visit the Carolina Basketball Museum to reminisce about the past 100 years and to rediscover just how great it is to be a Tar Heel.

4th Annual UNC Dance Marathon Homecoming Golf Classic & Dinner
The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club

Homecoming weekend isn't just about tailgating and football. Before heading to Kenan Stadium for UNC vs. Duke, join UNC Dance Marathon on Friday, Nov. 6, for a day filled with friends, fun and most importantly, golf. Student-led, the UNC Dance Marathon works year-round to raise money for the N.C. Children's Hospital, supporting families through the For the Kids Fund, special grants and a presence within the hospital. 

GAA members pay $75 per person; nonmembers pay $100 per person. Fee includes greens fees, cart, gift bag, lunch and dinner. A portion of the golf fee ($50) is tax-deductible. For more information, please contact Nicki Drawbridge, alumni chair, UNC Dance Marathon, at nicki.drawbridge@gmail.com

Campus tour and admissions information session
UNC Undergraduate Admissions, Jackson Hall

The Undergraduate Admissions Office will conduct a one-hour walking tour of campus for prospective students and parents led by a student ambassador. Participants then are invited to attend an information session with an admissions counselor. During the tour and information session you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the school, financial aid and applying for admission.

No cost to attend. Tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; please make your reservations with the Undergraduate Admissions Office. Visit admissions.unc.edu or call (919) 966-3621.

GAA members are invited to schedule a complimentary 30-minute career coaching appointment with Linda Conklin, the GAA's manager of Alumni Career Services. Explore career options, review your resume and cover letter, develop your job search strategy, prepare for your interview, expand your network or get advice on how to manage your career more effectively.

Cheer on the 2008 ACC Women's Volleyball Tournament champions as they take on the Virginia Cavaliers. Men's basketball ticket required for admission; tickets are $10 per person.

Tar Heel Kids and Teen Camps
George Watts Hill Alumni Center

Allow your child to experience some of the best that Carolina has to offer. Camp activities will be held Friday and Saturday and you may sign up for one or both days. Tar Heel Kids Camp activities target kids in grades K-5. Tar Heel Teen Camp activities target teens in grades 6-8. All camp activities will take place on campus and each camp will have separate activities.

Cheer on the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball champions during the first exhibition of the season. Men's basketball ticket required for admission; tickets are $10 per person. 

**Both the women's volleyball and men's basketball games are general admission seating. If you wish to secure your seat for the basketball game, please plan to attend the volleyball game as the Dean E. Smith Center will not be cleared between events. Men's basketball ticket required to gain admission to women's volleyball game. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Beating Duke always will be a time-honored tradition for UNC students. Perhaps a close second is enjoying a Blue Cup at He's Not Here. Join us for a special Beat Duke Party Friday evening to celebrate two of UNC's favorite traditions. And don't forget to wear your Carolina blue! No registration required; cover price will be charged at the door.

Homecoming Parade

Before Carolina takes on Duke at 3:30 p.m. for the Homecoming football game, come on out to enjoy the first Homecoming parade in more than 10 years! Support your team and cheer on student groups including The Heelraiser, the Marching Tar Heels, Homecoming royalty and Carolina cheerleaders. The grand marshal will be Mayor Kevin Foy, and local Chapel Hill organizations also will participate. 

12 p.m.
Tailgate, Bell Tower Climb, Old Well Walk
Bell Tower Quad, South Road

Enjoy great food, music provided by 93.9 KISSFM, pregame activities and giveaways under the shadow of the Bell Tower in the heart of campus. Your General Alumni Association is sponsoring the ultimate pregame experience catered by Carolina Barbecue. Pre-registration is now closed for the tailgate. On-site registration will be available, the cost is $15 per person.

While you're there, take the opportunity to climb four levels of the Bell Tower and enjoy the view from one of Carolina's most beloved landmarks. Arrive early to enjoy the sound of the Marching Tar Heels and to cheer on the football team as they make their way to Kenan Stadium during the Old Well Walk. You'll also find Rameses and complimentary face painting.

Help us fill Kenan Stadium with 60,000 screaming fans as the Tar Heels "Level the Devils." Football tickets are $50 per person. 
Football block sold out at 10 a.m. on 10/15/09.

The UNC Ticket Office may have tickets available.  Call (919) 962-2296 or visit tarheelblue.com for ticket availability. Tickets purchased from the UNC Ticket office will not be in this block.

Start your Franklin Street victory march with us at The Carolina Inn. This two-hour celebration is the official Homecoming/RAMpage post-game party. GAA President Doug Dibbert ’70 and GAA Board Chair Eleanor Morris ’55 will host the post game party.  Music will be provided by the GrassStreet Bluegrass Band.  Cash bar available.

No cost to attend; no registration required.
